BRAWL ME MOAR!

As most of you know, Smash was the first game that I tried to go pro in, and definitely one of my favorite games of all time.  Saturday night I stood in a crowded room full of guys that hadn’t showered in days (or smelled like that) just to get it at the midnight release.

I came home and played WoW.  It’s an addiction, I can’t help it.

The next morning I loaded it into my Wii (yay) and played it.  Wow, it was incredible.  My parents were shocked I didn’t need to use the Wii controller and were extremely disappointed.  They couldn’t understand that I was using a GameCube controller for another console.  Then I had to explain to them what a console was.  And what Nintendo was.

First impressions:

Graphics: The graphics are incredible - I thought SSBM was good but this makes SSBM look like the 64 version.  I love the look of the game and how they’re “improved” the old characters.  I approve.

Characters: I haven’t gotten to play ALL the characters yet (there are so many, I love it) but so far I’m a little disappointed with Marth . *gasp*  I know some of you are going, but if you don’t like Marth who will you play as!?  The first character I played as was Pit, and I just fell in love with the fact that you can fly.  Teek and flying is like waffles and whipped cream - it’s a match made in heaven.  You should have seen me do the “snoopy dance” when I got my flying mount in WoW.  Yes, I do a snoopy dance.  No, you can’t see it.  Another character that I enjoyed playing as was MetaKnight.  Very cool - reminds me of Marth meets Kirby.  I have a feeling I’ll be playing as these 2 characters for a while, but like I said, I haven’t had a chance to play as everyone.

Gameplay: The Gameplay is the same, so it was easy to know what button did what, etc.  I’m a nub and couldn’t figure out how to do the final move.  I ADMIT IT.  I R NUB.  It takes forever for the stage to load, but I think that was the same for SSBM when I first got it. The characters seem “heavier” so that took some getting used to.  The camera angle zooms out too much at times, in my opinion, so that you can barely see what is going on - but the same could be said for some stages in SSBM.  I DO like the interactive part of the stages, and I think that will add some excitement to Brawl tournaments.

Anticipation: I’m looking forward to the online play.  You guys know me - I’m not much of a “leave my house” type, so this will be something I take advantage of.  What can I say, I like playing video games in my PJs.  Definitely more comfortable and I don’t have to drive.  I hate driving.

Wii information: Don’t ask me!  (I don’t know it, sorry!)  I have barely gotten a chance to play it, so that will be a future project for me to figure out.  Stay tuned for more Brawl action!

**Side note** I did my FIRST ARENA in WoW and won 6 games out of 10 (should have been 7 but one of the guys we faced was lagging soooooooooo much that he couldn’t be attacked, which sucked).  I was excited that we finished with more wins than losses, w00t.  Your mom liked it.  No, seriously.  That’s the name of our arena team.  Your mom liked it.

    Well Teek I played it the day before it was released cause the place me and my friend go to opened the boxes a day early. I have played as everyone and they are all pretty awesome. I honestly like Marth a little more cause his attacks are alot faster and eaier to use and all that stuff. Although overall I like Ike best. He has pretty slow attacks but they are very storng and very stylish =]] And his final smash is rape =DD I was a lil disappointed that the gameplay was practically the same, although the subspace emissary made up for it 100% =D Overall the whole game rocks.
